USIS names P.K. Bagchi as Director, Facility Security Services
FALLS CHURCH, Va., July 13, 2009 – US Investigations Services, Inc. (USIS), the largest commercial provider of security investigation services to the federal government, a leading provider of pre-employment screening solutions, and a top provider of information services to the insurance industry, has named P.K. Bagchi as Director, Facility Security Services, for the USIS government business. He reports to Sam Kirton, vice president of the Intelligence Security Group in USIS’ National Security Division, and works out of the Falls Church, Va., headquarters.
Bagchi will be responsible for overseeing all Cleared American Guards (CAG) and Construction Surveillance Technicians (CST) contract activities, both domestically and overseas. He brings over 35 years of worldwide construction management experience, with particular expertise in high-security facilities.
Bagchi joins USIS from Hill International, where he served as Project Director for the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Lighthouse Tower in Dubai, U.A.E., and was responsible for the overall management of the design and construction of this high-profile, $500 million commercial tower in Dubai’s financial district. Prior to Hill, Bagchi spent over 22 years rising in positions of greater responsibility for high-security construction projects for the U.S. Department of State. Representative positions and projects include Project Director for the department’s new U.S. Embassy Complex in Beijing, China; Director of Construction and Commissioning with responsibility for overall management of the department’s embassy construction program overseas; and Construction Manager for the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, Russia. Before joining the Department of State, Bagchi served in various engineering and construction-related positions with Bechtel Corporation for its domestic and overseas projects.
“P.K.’s extraordinary background in high-security, high-profile government construction projects will be a tremendous asset to USIS,” said Kirton. “In particular, we expect his wealth of knowledge, insight, and real-world experience will enhance and strengthen our position as an industry-leading provider of CAG/CST services.”
